The Senior Twitterers of Orlando

Senior never means feeble in the social networking forest. Early adopters of Twitter are not bouncy young bluebirds, instead they are the wise owls looking over everyone in the trees. They also have monocles (and are just as cute as their blue feathered cousins).

After looking around the list of the oldest and top followed Twitter users in Orlando, I thought it would be nice to say “hi” to all of the Internet-addicted (or conflicted) people here who have been on Twitter longer than 25 months.

  • Well, there’s me at 28 months. Hi.
  • Alex (32 months) and Gavin (35 months) who started Twitterholic, the OT (Original Tweetster) project that sparked the rest.
  • Ted of IZEA has been tweetin’ for 29 months.
  • Missy (29 months) is all about the web and the Thesis theme just like we are.
  • Another 29-monther, Michelle, seems to hold a lot of titles under her hat! One busy tweeter.
  • Our local newspaper, Orlando Sentinel, has been on Twitter for 27 months – I bet Etan (also 27 months) was behind this.
  • Jennifer is obviously a social scientist, 26 month tweeter and has the nicest graphic and photo fusion on her website.
  • After 26 months in the hive, Dan is still tweeting and has the same name as my honeybear. I’m sure HiveLogic has got something to do with honey as well.
  • Not only does she tweet, she moos – Jennifer from SomaCow has been mooting for 26 months.
  • Cristina does marketing/PR and has a Blackberry. Only cool people have been tweeting like her for 26 months.
  • Someone else likes dinosaurs. Our last 26 month Twitter power user in Orlando is Will.
